Investment within additional drug prevention, treatment and recovery provision within the city

Brief Description

Leeds City Council intends to accept additional funding from a number of sources including (but not limited to) The Probation Service, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities and Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to invest in additional drug prevention, treatment and recovery provision within the city.

Leeds City Council intends to distribute this funding via the most suitable route for the delivery of drug and alcohol treatment and Integrated Offender Management (IOM) support services within the city.

This is a key decision as it concerns the expenditure of over £500,000 of funding, which the council is expected to receive via various grants and funding agreements. Full details will be provided within the forthcoming report.

LCC is taking a lead role, whilst working closely with The Probation Service, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the providers of drug and alcohol and offender support services within the city.
