Outcome of consultation on a proposal to close Queensway Primary School

Leeds City Council is proposing to reduce the number of primary school places within the Guiseley and Yeadon areas of Leeds by closing Queensway Primary School when term ends in July 2023 - legally the school would close on 31 August 2023. This proposal would partially address the surplus capacity issue in the area, reducing places by 30 in reception from 2023. This proposal forms part of a wider plan to address a surplus capacity issue in the area.

The decision on the proposal has been classed as a “key decision” as the outcome would have a significant effect on primary school aged children in the Guiseley and Yeadon areas of Leeds.
