Approval to modify the Live Well Leeds contract to extend the contract length to allow a further 12 months from the 1st April 2024

Brief Description

The Live Well Leeds Contract has an annual value of £1,189,645and is due to expire on 31/3/24. Under Regulation 72 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (Modification of Contracts), modification of the contract is requested to allow it to be extended for an additional 12 month period until 31/03/2025. This is to allow service continuity whilst a full review and recommissioning is being undertaken.

Impact On Wards

During this additional period, the current service will continue to operate as normal across the City.

Financial and procurement implications

In line with the wider financial savings being sought by the Authority the additional year will be subject to a 5% reduction in contract value.

Partnership working

The ICB contribute an annual ringfenced amount of £109,645 to this contract and are currently considering their financial contribution to the additional year being requested on the contract.

Through a contract variation Children’s Services will contribute £138,896 (from Government Supporting Families funding) during the additional year to continue the specialist coordinator roles in the Early Help Hubs.
