Financial and procurement implications |
A budget report to the Council’s Executive Board in December 2023 stated the proposed closure of Knowle Manor would save in 2024/2025 an in year estimated saving of £100k. The repurposing of Dolphin Manor into a Recovery Hub would enable the Council to deliver additional rehabilitation and recovery beds. This would result in reduced demand for long term care and support, saving the Council money. |
Partnership working |
Leeds City Council has been working in an Alliance partnership with Leeds Community Healthcare since 2017 when it successfully bid for the Recovery Hub contract and secured funding from the Integrated Care Board (ICB). The success of the Recovery Hubs has also been recognised by the Home First programme. The repurposing of Dolphin Manor into a Recovery Hub will enhance the partnership. |
