Approval is sought to carry out a major junction improvement at the Claypit Lane / Woodhouse Lane junction. These proposals aim to amalgamate a number of potential schemes in order to minimise abortive work and disruption to the public. The resultant scheme will facilitate the construction of the Merrion House extension and involves filling-in the subway and providing green spaces making the resultant public realm areas much more appealing. Pedestrian and cycling facilities will also be improved. The scheme is designed to integrate with the planned public transport improvements in this area.
