In order to place a cohort of 34 SEN pupils at the former Shakespeare Primary School PFI building it is necessary to undertake a package of construction works to ensure the facility is adapted to this new usage requirement. Additionally, loose furniture and equipment, including ICT provision, will also be required. This request seeks to outline the proposed construction project necessary to ensure there is sufficient accommodation at the school to support the increase in pupil numbers. This report will seek approval to spend, acceptance of the tender and permission to enter into the full construction contract.
