The Brotherton Collection is the name given to the private library of rare books and manuscripts assembled by Leeds University Library's benefactor Lord Brotherton of Wakefield. Lord Brotherton presented his collection to the Library after his death in 1930 with funds to ensure its continuing growth. It now contains over 50,000 printed books and many more manuscript items.
