Reference: D52940

Decision Maker: Director of Adults and Health

Decision status: For Determination

Is Key decision?: Yes

Is subject to call in?: Yes

A delegated decision is required to implement the recurrent cost savings approved at the November 2020 Executive Board which will have an annual value of £820,000 and will be implemented during 2021/22.

Impacts all wards in the city and may have an impact on the level of service that the commissioned third sector providers are able to provide once they have accommodated a 10% service funding reduction.

Delivers a recurrent £820,000 budget saving to the Adults and Health directorate. Will require contract variations to reflect the revised funding levels.

The decision is not dependent on decisions by other partners outside Leeds City Council but with the knowledge of local joint funders (Leeds CCG) and with full engagement with the Leeds Third sector organisations affected and sector representatives.

The Director of Adults and Health:

1.  Approved the implementation of these cost savings

2.  Authorised the serving of formal written six months’ notice period of changes to funding to the affected providers as soon as this delegated decision is implementable.

Authorised the use of departmental reserves to mitigate the anticipated slippage
