The Director of Adults and Health approved the
waiver of CPRs 9.1 (requirement of competition) and 9.2 (invitation
of a minimum of four written tenders), using the authority set out
in CPR 1.3, to award a 6-month contract with the option to extend
for a further 6-months to MHA for extra care services at Yew Tree
Court and Rosewood Court. This contract is to commence 1st April
2019. A request to utilise the available 6-month extension will be
subject to a separate decision.
The Director of Adults and Health approved an increase to the
contract value resulting in a contract value of £228,208 for
the 6-month period. This represents an increase of £22,500
(10.9%) for the 6-month period.
The Director of Adults and Health approved the continued use of the
negotiated procedure without prior publication of a notice under
Regulation 32 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 with the
goal of establishing a long-term contract with the existing
provider. The outcome of these negotiations and the recommendation
to award a long-term contract will be subject to a separate
significant operational decision.
